I just joined this site! In the 80's I used to have a Variflex and I skated till the trucks broke! Then I got me a Nash. It wasn't concave or anything, and was pretty darn heavy. I think I stopped skating sometime in around 88 cos I started spending more time with my band practices. That was the year the ollie was invented (?!) I couldn't pop one no matter how hard I tried. Well time flies and after seeing some videos on the internet (Animal Chin, Dog Town etc) I began searching for an old school skateboard to continue where I left off - learning how to pull an ollie off! I guess luck was with me today, scored a Peralta Guerremo with T-Bone wheels. I hope I succeed this time!

Welcome!
Finding your Holy Grail is a typical first step to getting back into skating. Then you'll determine that you really don't want to skate it but just possession of it was needed. Definitely take advantage of the new goods that can be found and especially in the store on this site. I think the Ollie was created earlier than you probably remember. It's amazing what was being set forth back in the day. |
